WELCOME TO EMMITSBURG
Experience small town America at its best! Emmitsburg, Maryland, located off Route 15 between Frederick and Gettysburg, is a small village with a lot to offer to the visitor and resident alike. It is home to the first American Female Saint and Mount Saint Mary's University. It is also the site of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial, the To Lift a Nation 9/11 Monument, the National Shrine of Elizabeth Ann Seton, WWI Doughboy Monument, the National Shrine of our Lady of Lourdes, and the National Fire Heritage Center and Frederick County Fire & Rescue Museum. And yet for all these amazing historical monuments it remains small town America.
